Being hospitable should happen all the time in your life. There are so many people out there who have less than you. It is sometimes hard to put ourselves in his/her shoes.
Who knows, a perfect stranger could become a good friend, you can never count anyone out!

love the quote! You make such a good point, you never know what someone is going through or what they have gone through. Its best to be kind to everyone no matter how they look, talk, dress, act, etc. I think that should hold true when it comes to teaching too. there will students that will act out or won't turn in homework or will only come to school 3 days a wekk and we are going to want to pull our hair out. maybe there is something going on in their lives that we just don't know about. can't wait to see what other quotes you post! :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading quotes I think they can be very powerful when used with the right words! I've never heard this quote before, but I like it. Like teachers says, treat people how you would like to be treated. The lesson here is don't judge others. People are always going through something and the last thing they need is an unfriendly face.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Russell, the world would be a much, much better place if everyone tried to be a friendly and hospitable person. The least we can do is try to do this ourselves :) Thanks for sharing such a great quote!
